Jewel Ward Performs at No Crystal Stair
Jewel Ward performed in No Crystal Stair in Hendersonville, North Carolina, on May 15, 2022. Hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hendersonville, the program honored the evolving struggle, strength, and experiences of Black women.
Jewel performed “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” and “Gotta Be” as part of an ensemble of 27 speakers, dancers, spoken-word artists, musicians, and poets.
Other participants included Tynesha Carden, Jay Carey, Kaylan Petty, Indian Jackson, Donnie Black, Crystal Cauley, the Carolina Diva Diamondz, Jenna Jaffe, Deborah Shelton-Ogiste, Tony Robles, Tricia B., and Linda S.
Following the May performance, the ensemble presented No Crystal Stair again on June 11, 2022, at Kaplan Auditorium in Hendersonville.
